A job to do

I have a very good intellect. In fact I have a very highly-developed intellect. I'd thrive in a situation where I could use it. However under the workhouse system, here are just a few of the jobs that I've been considered suitable for:

Warehouse Operative
Potato Packer
Operator of fairground rides
Guide for groups visiting a theme park.
Filling shelves at a DIY shop

I could cry. Why is the system so inflexible? Why don't the people listen to me? Why are they not trained to help people with developed intellect, and those with mental health issues?

I have told them I an autistic and suffer from fits. Brilliant. Now there's me operating a fairground ride, and the flashing lights cause a seizure. While I'm under the ride is completely out of control, putting the fun-seekers in mortal danger.

Whoever dreamed up such a system ought to be whipped and flogged from here to buggery. It's not fit for purpose. In fact it's a national disgrace.
