Just now

I went out for a fag, and enjoyed the pleasantly warm and sunny weather. I started thinking of what to have for dinner today, as I'm rapidly running out of ideas. I haven't made up my mind yet, but I've decided to make plum duff for afters. It's a good old cockney favourite, rather like spotted dick only made with sultanas instead of currants, and made in a pudding bowl rather than being sausage-shaped. It certainly says a lot for English cuisine, that such an uninspiring name as plum duff is enough to set the gastric juices flowing.
