The man came nice and early to do the repairs. I wanted to keep him onside so gave him a cup of coffee and something hot to eat. All very friendly and he just got on with it. He's coming back tomorrow to paint round what he's just done. I feel much more comfortable that it'll stay up and shan't need tinkering around with, as the bishop said to the dean.
