The Magnet (1950), a very clever Ealing Comedy. Then I watched
Etoile Sans Lumiere (1946), a melodrama starring Edith Piaf & Yves Montand. It was really nothing more than a vehicle for Miss Gassion to warble, but I rather enjoy the film. Bed at half past nine.
