This morning

I felt mentally shattered when I woke up, but my mood improved as the coffee and fags kicked in. I had to smile to myself; I needed to cross the road opposite the library. 'Hi Guv'nor' was waiting outside, and I could see that he'd spotted me. I noticed the expression he always gets when he homes in on me. What I couldn't see though, was his expression when I didn't turn up. I'd love to have seen it!
