Traditional sanitation

I saw my friends' garden for the first time yesterday, and we were talking about our favourite flowers. It turns out that we both like antirrhinums, or 'bunny rabbits' as we call them.
Bunny rabbits have such an air of cheerfulness about them. I love all the bright colours and 'laid-back-ness' of the flower spikes. Close up they look rather like triffids. As a child I would break off one flower and squeeze its sides, so that the two halves moved up and down like a rabbit's mouth. They always seed themselves profusely, so one can reliably expect their welcome return the following year. For me, they are the very essence of a traditional cottage garden.
