More about Aspergers

Sleep is commonly an issue for people with Aspergers. I suppose it's where the mind is so active all the time. Many are the times when I would be awake all night and fall asleep just before the alarm clock rang. Usually the longest I can sleep is about four or five hours. Of course I don't usually get up, but try and get back to sleep. Sometimes I fall asleep immediately. Other times I lie there for a while thinking. Sometimes I get up unsure whether I have slept at all, with a feeling of having spent the night turning over and over. Sometimes I have a nap during the day. Other times the tiredness catches up, and I sleep for twelve or thirteen hours.
This is not a new and strange phenomenon in my life. It's just another thing that I'm telling you about myself, which I'd always kept to myself.
