Last night

I was feeling quite edgy when I got to the pub. I wanted to be there but felt like being quiet. My brother was there and only one other customer. I went over to the keyboard and played some classical pieces. In the meanwhile two customers had come in, and they said how much they were enjoying the music.
My friend whose birthday it was came in with her husband, so I played Happy Birthday. She's such a nice lady, and well-known locally, so it was a great disappointment for me that only three of us came to celebrate with her. I say celebrate; I was happy to be there but felt quite 'locked in' and unable to converse. I went to the keyboard an played it with the volume turned right down. However I did loosen up a bit as the evening progressed.
When I got home I found an email from my new friend in Germany, saying that he's coming over for Easter, and would I look into B&B. I've invited him to stay at mine, which will be fun for me too.
The landlord's agent is coming to inspect the flat this afternoon. I set my alarm early but overslept quite badly. I've still got plenty of time to get the place ship-shape.
I'm still feeling a bit edgy today, and woke up with my mind full-on.
