A lovely surprise

It was nice at the pub yesterday. It was a friend's birthday, so I played Happy Birthday and played some of the old songs later on. In fact I played quite a lot last night. I'm still surprised that people enjoy the classical pieces that I play. My lovely surprise was that three of my family came in completely unexpectedly. My brother was there too, and we had a chat and a laugh or two.
The person whose name I shan't mention wasn't there. It was wonderful to be left alone to talk, without having your conversation hijacked. I expect he'll be back tonight, but this time I've got some Schumann ready.
