A musical interlude

I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend's harpsichording, although we had very few visitors yesterday. The pub was a different matter, and I spent all yesterday afternoon dreading it. The pub was practically empty when I got there, and time really dragged. I got tired of playing at around a quarter to nine, so I stopped playing and stayed for a pint.
Seven of my social acquaintances came in during the course of the evening. I was jolly glad to see them too, and really appreciate their support. I'm sure they don't realize what a big thing their presence is for me. One of the acquaintances is 'arty', and she has asked me to play the music for a film she's making in August. Yes please!
I'll collect my keyboard from the pub this afternoon, and will need to take it to the historic building tomorrow morning, ready for the party of undergraduates who are coming to see us. I'm also playing there the other three days as normal, although my Wednesday session will be curtailed by a visit to the workhouse.
