The 'leaders' of Japan's muslims have spoken out against those who recently beheaded two Japanese hostages. I am somewhat bewildered by Mr Shimoyama's description use of the word 'peaceful' to describe Islam. Is the man in complete denial, or is he generally ignorant of the human rights records of those governments in the islamic world? That is the trouble with this religion; it describes itself as peaceful, yet it brutalises those people within its clutches. It butchers, maims, flogs and imprisons those who do not conform with what it dictates. It's just like the European middle ages all over again.
