A visit

I've had a message from my friend from Uni, and he's coming round for dinner. I am glad. When we were at Uni, we were out on the razzle practically every night. I slept on his living-room floor for about two years, and only ever went home to check the post. I used to make various mincemeat concoctions, which usually masqueraded as chilli con carne. We're having the very same concoction this evening.
My friend is a percussionist, and we used to play Malcolm Arnold's Concert Piece for percussion and piano together. It was such fun; bits of crash bang wallop, bits of jazz, bits of post-romanticism, and a liberal sprinkling of St Trinians. It was a difficult bugger to play. I couldn't find a recording of the concert piece on youtube, so have a giggle at the St Trinians theme tune instead.
