My friend arrived at about 5.15pm yesterday and we ate straight away. Food seems to taste so much nicer when it's eaten in good company. After dinner we went to the pub to see his brother and the brother's partner. My brother was there too, so we had a game of rude scrabble. Hilarious! The only rule to the game is that every word you spell must be a rude one. It was chaotic! We were looking for letters in the bag, moving letters round on the board, swapping and nicking letters from each other. We didn't bother keeping the scores after the first few goes.
My neighbour from downstairs came in too. He's a really nice bloke. He asked me to play, which I duly obliged, since he doesn't come in very often. So there I was, belting out all the popular old-time songs, and people sang along to them. My brother and I were the last ones there, so we had a nice game of scrabble with the landlord. I'm afraid I 'nodded orf' and was driven the two hundred yards back home.
I woke up with a shocking bad hangover. Coffee, fags and toast seem to have shifted it.
I will be playing at the pub tonight for a party of people who will be visiting.
