Felling a lot nicer than I had earlier, I summoned up the energy to cook meat sauce and pasta. While it was cooking I had two large gins and a bottle of cider. I had a glass of wine with dinner, while watching Laurel and Hardy in Oliver the Eighth. Afterwards I put on Murder at the Galop, starring Margaret Rutherford, Robert Morley and Flora Robson, but got bored, so I took myself down the pub. I only stayed for one pint and thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't busy, but nice people that I know were there. They were very friendly, but allowed me to sit on my own without any pressure to do otherwise, and we nattered from time to time. That is an ideal night out for me.
When I got home I watched Laurel and Hardy in The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case and Berth Marks, which I enjoyed with a glass of wine.
