In London I never felt settled anywhere. I didn't feel that I belonged. I didn't know anyone except my nephew and his mum. I travelled vast distances to shop for different types of things.
I do feel settled where I live now. I do feel that I belong, in fact I feel as if this is where I come from. In a sense I do, in that the person I am now was born in this town. I know lots of people socially, and have made good friends. Many of the people who are family to me live in the area. I hardly ever leave the town, and always shop locally.
To me, this speaks volumes.
