Some of Dad's ancestors came from Netherton, Dudley in Worcestershire. They were miners, nailers, bricklayers and the like. One of my ancestresses was Rosannah Flavell, who killed her own daughter in a fit of temper in 1847. I attach a newspaper report of her trial in 1848.
