I was talking to one of my close circle yesterday. They made an interesting comment. They said that if you are laughy-jokey and someone who joins in, then you are believed. If you are serious, detached and say what you mean, then you are not believed. Very perceptive. It ties in nicely with my own distrust of people who smile too much.
