The rest of Saturday

I finally bucked my ideas up and wrote to a very dear friend who'd been asking about me, and whom I haven't seen for a very long time. I didn't want to write while I was feeling as depressed as I have been.
I had a nice bangers n mash dinner, and watched the Alastair Sim version of J.B.Priestley's  An Inspector Calls, followed by The Bat, starring Vinnie Price and Agnes Moorehead. The synchronized screaming was hilarious. First of all one woman screams, then another, then both, then another two, then three, culminating in a whopping five ladies all screaming together. It reminded me of that bit of Così Fan Tutte, where a solo becomes a duet, then a trio, then a quartet, and finally a quintet. Bed at after midnight.
