The conversation

I felt very uncomfortable with what I heard on Saturday. I don't think the landlord and landlady would have allowed it. I think people should be allowed to say exactly what they want, but one should bear in mind the age of the person being addressed. My  first instinct was to challenge the person who was speaking. On the other hand I was worried in case the landlord and landlady would think I had been making a fuss. I have been worrying ever since, in case I should have said something. I'll speak to the landlord later.
