Yesterday afternoon

I went to the party yesterday, but missed the party as I had to get myself ready to play. It was lovely to see people. My friends made me a lovely dinner, which I wasn't expecting. I realise what a lot they've taken on, what with all the cooking, and I bet they'll be glad when all the preparations are over.
