I got up exhausted, and dragged myself into the kitchen to make a mug of coffee. I took the precaution of cooking myself a hot breakfast, bearing in mind the cold weather and my own tiredness. To cheer myself up a bit I put on a suit and tie, rather than the scruffy gear I usually throw on.
