Saturday night

I reached for some dvds. To begin with I watched The Astonished Heart (1950) based on a play by Noel Coward. It's one of the dreariest, most tedious films I know, but I watched the whole thing. Afterwards I watched The Anatomist (1956), a TV film. Alastair Sim starts as Dr Knox in a dramatisation of the story of Burke and Hare. I finished the night with episodes 1-3 of David Attenborough's Private Life of Plants.
