Recently I listened to a recording of Neville Chamberlain's broadcast on the wireless, advising the nation of the declaration of war. One bit has been playing on my mind for a few days where he says he has returned from a meeting with the
cabinet, which he pronounces
kebby-nit. It always makes me smile.
