I spent the time reading. I started off with
Grandfather's London, which is a commentary on photographs of working people in Greenwich around 1885. Then I looked at a compilation of Georgian caricatures from the British Library. I went to bed exhausted at 9pm. I couldn't settle down, what with the sound of a distant radio and the bloody seagulls, so I read articles from Punch published between 1840 and 1860. I went to bed again at 11.15pm and slept until 7.30am. The sleep was interrupted as usual, but I don't feel quite so tired as yesterday.
