Facebook

I am offended but the obscene amounts of money that are thrown at sport, and at football in particular. Whenever I see a news feed about football, I mark it as being offensive, for that reason. Why can't at least some of the money be put into more deserving and important causes?

Well, good old Sandra

Well, the world seems to get barmier every day. Just in case nobody noticed, this is not a person. It's a fucking gorilla. What on earth is going on nowadays?

If only his parents had used a condom.

Worry

All weekend I worried about the letter I'd received from the hospital. I wasn't worried about my own possibly imminent death. I'm not frightened of dying. What did my head in was the following problem:

Should I tell people, and if so, how?

The idea that I might have to break horrible news to the people I love, tore me apart. I'm so glad it didn't come to that.

First thing today

We had such a beautiful sunrise this morning. I feel so lucky to have seen it.

Films

On Saturday I watched one of my all-time favourites; Pink String and Sealing Wax (1945) starring Googie Withers, Mervyn Johns and Gordon Jackson.
Last night I watched Hitchcock's Murder (1930) and enjoyed it.
