A musical interlude

Tomorrow night I'm playing at the pub, as usual. That'll be a bit tight, as I've got my MRI scan shortly beforehand.

A booking

I'm playing again on Sunday week at the pub in the next town. I'm really looking forward to that. This time I'll be doing my stuff in the evening, so we should have people turning up (fingers crossed).

Speechless

I nearly burst my sides laughing!

Now

I feel very tired. Sleep has always been a curse for me. I'm still off the fags, and don't ever want to start again. This time I've done it because I wanted to, eather than someone else nagging me about it. I know I'll succeed this time.

This afternoon

I'll be going for the usual coastal walk with my young friend. I'm pleased he's getting so much more confident when he's outside. It's nice to see that.

The walk

The weather was lovely and calm this morning, and a good deal brighter than yesterday. I walked a couple of miles down the coast, enjoying the sea and the wildlife. Only one thing spoiled it. Bloody dogs. Barking, yapping, running all over the place, frightening the wildfowl. I don't know why the animals are allowed in a site of outstanding natural interest. I think I'd like to go earlier to avoid them, but if I go much earlier, it will be too dark to see anything.

This morning

As I was up very early, I decided to cook the piece of beef I'd been salting since last Saturday week. After coffee I had a bath, then played mah jong on the computer. Then I went for a walk.
